The Israeli occupation forces inaugurated the longest suspension bridge in Jerusalem, connecting the Old City of Jerusalem with Mount Zion. The opening ceremony took place on Sunday afternoon and was reported by the Israeli newspaper "Jerusalem M.Net."
This suspension bridge, which stands at a height of 202 meters, was executed by the Ministry of Jerusalem and Jewish Heritage with an estimated budget of 20 million shekels and funded by various government agencies, the bridge will be accessible to the public free of charge. It is expected to become a major tourist attraction in East Jerusalem and the Old City.
Meir Barouch, Chairman of the Ministerial Committee for Jerusalem Affairs, highlighted that the newly built suspension bridge will offer a unique and mesmerizing tourist experience, providing panoramic views of significant parts of Jerusalem. The authorities aim to attract tourists from all around the world through this project.
The Israeli Minister of Tourism, Haim Katz, expressed that the suspension bridge offers an excellent opportunity for Israeli families to witness the vast expanse of Jerusalem. He emphasized the commitment to further invest in promoting Jerusalem as a leading tourist destination.
