3078 settlers stormed the Al-Aqsa Mosque during the month of January. The incursions took place from the Mughrabi Gate, which is fully controlled by the Israeli occupation, as well as the provocative tours of Jewish worshipers in the courtyards of the mosque, and then exit from Bab Al-Silsila.

Among the intruders of the mosque were settlers, students of biblical seminaries and employees of the Israel Antiquities Authority, accompanied by members of the Israeli police.

The Israeli occupation forces prevented Palestinian youths from entering the Al-Aqsa Mosque and playing with the snow there. They arrested two young men, confiscated the ID cards of dozens of young men, and did not allow others to enter the mosque.

B'Tselem documented that the Israeli occupation prevented five Palestinians from entering the mosque for a period ranging between five days and a month. They are Khadija Khuwais, Hanadi Halawani, Khattab Al-Sharbati, Jawad Burqan, and Majd Kabha.

During this month, the Israeli incursions took place on a daily basis, except on Friday and Saturday, when the Mughrabi Gate is closed. The occupation police secure the incursions by deploying its members and special forces among the worshipers, and escorting the settlers from the moment they storm the mosque until they leave it.
