In a recent development on Wednesday, the Israeli occupation authorities delivered five stop construction notices to residents in the town of Yasouf, located in the eastern region of Salfit in the northern occupied West Bank. The move has raised concerns among the affected citizens and the local community.

According to a press statement made by Wael Madi, the deputy head of the Yasuf village council, the occupation forces conducted a raid in the Al-Nasaba area, situated to the east of the town. During this operation, they served notices to stop construction on four inhabited houses and one barracks, citing alleged violations of construction regulations.

The affected properties belong to Qais Obeya, Omar Obeya, Sari Abdel Razek, and Alaa Musleh, while the barracks is owned by Rabie Obeya. The issuance of these stop work notices has placed significant strain on the affected families, hindering their ability to improve their living conditions and homes.

The village of Yasuf has long been grappling with the consequences of the occupation practices and facing daily attacks from settlers, further exacerbating the challenges faced by its residents.
